

Janice grew up in a family of bakers in western Massachusetts where she resides today with her husband. While raising three daughters, she was inspired to experiment with unique, party-themed cakes and cupcakes. Twenty-eight years later, Janice launched a new career in Specialty Baking.
Janice grew up in a household where freshness and flavor were a necessity and every baked good was made from scratch. In fact, many of the recipes used today have been in the family for decades. In 1984, Janice’s sister established Better Than Bakery in Windsor, Connecticut, which specializes in the tastiest French breads, buttered only with the finest herbs and spices. Better Than Bakery is now owned and operated by her niece and her husband.
Although Janice is known for her themed specialty
cakes, cupcakes and cookie platters, she developed an interest over the years in
a healthier line of baking. Experimenting with high fiber, low fat and less
sugar, she tested the market (her family and friends) until the taste and
consistency were perfected. She has added a cookie line called “A Healthier Alternative” which has become a local
sensation.
